To support this exciting growth, they are seeking a driven Business Development Manager to join their team. This is a full-time position, available for an immediate start.
About the Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will be instrumental in generating new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and executing strategies to meet revenue growth objectives
- Compiling structured reports on the status of business opportunities and sales performance
- Managing resources efficiently to support sales goals
- Driving business growth by attending industry events, engaging in direct marketing, and building your network
- Keeping accurate, up-to-date records of client interactions in the company's CRM
- Supporting the completion of large tenders and securing necessary documents from engineers, councils, developers, and clients
- Ensuring all designs comply with Australian building codes, regulations, and standards
- Identifying opportunities to enhance internal processes and improve collaboration between teams
About You
The ideal candidate will bring:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in business development, preferably with exposure to the building industry
- Strong IT skills, including experience using CRM systems
- Knowledge of Queensland Building Standards, Acts, and Planning Schemes
- A background in architecture, drafting, or design, with experience in planning, design development, and project documentation
- A proven ability to identify new business opportunities and convert leads into successful clients
- Confidence in building relationships with prospective clients and offering tailored solutions
- The ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and apply problem-solving skills to prioritize workloads
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and strategic planning abilities
